maybe i have asked you this before, but where do you get your materials for the collages? some of the older images are so cool but i wonder where you get them. great job.

Thanks, dude! Old books and magazines, mainly. (Woman's Day, Farmer's Journal, Nat. Geo, Sat. Evening Post, etc. from the 30's, 40's, and 50's) I also go for anatomy books, books on space, physics, and whatnot - again, the older the book I'm destroying, the better (they had better colors, and used thicker stock back in the day). This particular collage, makes use of a sheet of patterned card stock and images from a book on medieval stuff. The frame pieces were taken from an ad in a graphic design magazine. The figure was taken from the fashion section of the newspaper. The skull and wing came from an old time life book about South America (or Australia - I can't remember) from the 70's. And the flower petals was an ad from a more recent mag. I pretty much steal / buy / hoard anything that can be remotely of use, and decide on how obsessive I'm going to be hunting for imagery before I make something.
