Blurry Greensby Ben Renschen
ABOUT THE ART
If you're going to take advantage of anything, take advantage of moments to reconnect.
I hadn't seen this lovely human in about three years before this day. Needless to say there was endless catching up and conversation and wine and fire and shooting and getting in and out of the car and clothes coming on and off and hiking and wildlife and rain and big waves. It was a needed trip for the both of us. I had been chasing this weather and scenery for a year and I couldn't imagine doing that with a better person.
And the humidity that fogged the film, which blurred the pictures left me bummed that they didn't come out clear. Until I adored the pictures for what they represented. The blur is exactly what the weekend was like. It rained every day. The greens were incredibly green. The water incredibly blue. And the skies a beautiful grey. We wore ponchos to hike to water falls to get even more wet. I'm pretty sure I lost a roll of film. We laughed our asses off for three days straight. We got yelled at by park rangers. And I can't wait to go back. Northern California is special like that.
So if you like super crisp pictures, this might not be for you. But if you'd be content with a bit of blur, but represents a whole lotta love and heart, this is that.
