Brazil: 6% of the population live in slums in the country.
The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released the first results of the subnormal agglomerates in the country as part of the Census 2010. Known as slums, invasions, grottoes, downloaded, communities, villages, hangovers, hovels or stilts, these areas house the 6% homes of the population, representing 11,425,644 people. According to the study were identified 3,224,529 households in these areas, representing 5.6% of existing homes in the country.....
