Domino The Destitute was the second painting of the Afterman: Ascension works that I created with Claudio Sanchez for the epic double album by Coheed and Cambria. We talked daily between studio sessions about the ideas and sketches, then eventually settled on a final idea and then I started the painting, never having heard the songs.

Each song represents a different soul the main character Sirius, the man in the space suit, comes into contact with and their memories that he is forced to experience. Domino was a boxer in a tough spot with a difficult choice to make - so each doorway also has a sigil creature that represents the personality of what lies beyond that portal or decision.
