From the 'Polly's Gone' Series of Lady Babe portraits named after video games I used to play as a kid... ✕___△

✴⋆ ✶ ✶ ✴ This piece was watercolour/watercolor, acrylic and paint markers, metallic sharpie, fineliner, pencil, lead/graphite and GLITTER on handmade Indian paper! Lots and lots of blue glitter. It's sad you can't see it sparkle through the computer screen, it's pretty impressive. ⋆✴ ⋆✴ ✶⋆✴ ⋆ (☜ Text sparkles, to make up for the lack of sparkle on the computer screen).

Everblue 2 was a diving game I played religiously on our Playstation when I was younger. I don't know what was so awesome about it, it was a first person game where you went underwater and collected treasure from sunken ships. There was some sort of mystical magical mystery regarding your Father and a lost underwater city, but I never played that far into it because I didn't have the right equipment to go that deep into the water. You could drown, get bitten by sharks and take photos of fish! Many a year later I am a total fish fanatic, so maybe that had something to do with it? Playing too many diving games in my formative years... Mind you I also played a lot of Resident Evil and I'm not sitting in a bunker awaiting the Zombie Apocalypse with a Beretta in hand eating a Jill sandwich (hehe)... Nor am I driving out to mysterious mining towns toting a radio and waiting for static so I can bash the beans out of figures in the mist...
