About this artwork
Abstract watercolor painting created April 4th 2008. It's a lot lighter than some of my other paintings. It features mostly cyan, brown, green, yellow, red, and white. There are a lot of shapes and lines, which is nice. My sister Carolyn named this one after the biological term.
The t-shirt version was a bit of a mashup. The original painting was inverted and hue shifted. I borrowed the mask from Medium Hadron Collider (another one of my t-shirts and paintings), and altered it to focus on Fibroblasts. So that it fits and just helps emphasize things. It's available on limited color garments.
It was painted using Dr. PH. Martin's Concentrated Water Colors on Arches Hot Press 120lb water color paper. The original painting measures 14" x 20" and was captured professionally under professional studio lighting. It was shot in RAW format and color corrected to match the quality and fidelity of the original.
