Gato De Los Muertosby John Tibbott
Our metal prints are thin, lightweight and durable 1/16" aluminum sheet canvas. The high gloss finish enhances color and produces sharp image details. Each sheet has a 3/4" wooden frame attached to the back to offset from the wall. Prints have a wire or sawtooth hanger, depending on size selected.
ABOUT THE ART
This design is for a challenge at Threadless in support of Adopt a Shelter Cat month and the ASPCA.
It was inspired by my cat Meg (aka Gonk). We got her after she was taken to a rescue centre. She'd been found, barely alive, after being shot. The veterinary surgeon said she was lucky to be alive because she'd lost so much blood and had to amputate her front right leg.
So that's where the inspiration came from, she's the cat who cheated death, represented in a sugar skull style design, with her signature one tooth poking out!
I'm happy to say that three years down the line she's a happy, nervous, but well loved cat who gets by really well with three legs. Meg's my super cat!
