About this artwork
This artwork series was born from posters and flyers created for New York City's long running 60's Northern Soul dance party 'The Subway Soul Club'. Dawn Carrington is both the artist and club promotor ( AKA hostess 'Lady Dawn' ) and her lifetime passion for mod culture and style shines through all her work.
Gladys is part of a series of prints featuring iconic female soul singers of the 1960s, created in illustrator.
