ABOUT THE ART

This is a new piece. I haven't painted in a while and I find that as a result of that sometimes the artwork is a little fuller ~ somewhat like a holding pattern. Its final result reminds me to release and trust. This is made on an Arches watercolor block (as is most of my work), which are actually 100% cotton, so it is very textured and lush looking, which I happen to love ~

Wow!! Angela, so beautiful! Love it on the phone & t-shirt too :)

I like this, but it's puzzling me and I don't know why. I can see a red "cross" dividing the painting in four pieces somehow... and in the middle there's an owl...
Geoffrey Agrons commented on September 19, 2011 9:27am
Each one more beautiful than the last.
Heather Goodwind commented on September 19, 2011 11:41am
Beautiful colors and shapes, and I'm really enjoying the layers of transparencies in this one - you're right it's very full - and the result is wonderful!

Thanks all, such nice comments (Chatherine, Deepti, Geoffrey, Heather, Angela)! I truly appreciate them. I am trying different things with the shirts, so thanks for the feedback! Efi - lol! I had a feeling you would have a problem with this one. I was actually thinking of cutting it into 4 pieces and making a separate collage type pieces ... I still might, but wanted to have this one intact ~ it does look like that ... I don't start with an idea, so as something pops out I go with it ... I saw two birds with their beaks tucked down in their chests ... one facing left, one right (which you are interpreting as the owl:) ... thanks again all.

lol! What I said doesn't mean I don't like it!!! I never have the intension to bring someone down with my comments. It's just that, with certain people, I feel I can express my thoughts freely...
angela deal meanix commented on September 20, 2011 4:50am
I know! I didn't take it negatively at all :) Just thought it was funny because you were on my mind as I was finishing it. Always love the feedback!
