The fourth card of the Major Arcana and following the Empress, The Emperor is a masculine influence of power. Seen as a father figure or as authority, the card offers a rational mindset in thought rather than feelings. As he sits on his four corner throne representing stability, he sits in the wake of with a sphere in one hand and a ankh in another. These two are seen as the world and the ruler. It's energy is associated with the zodiac sign Aries as well, with the four rams supporting the numeroligcal placement of stability. As with Aries, this card is indeed about initial action moving forward on the journey.
