Judith Canvas Print

Canvas Print

by Citygraph

Fine art print on bright white, fine poly-cotton blend, matte canvas using latest generation Epson archival inks. Individually trimmed and hand stretched museum wrap over 1-1/2" deep wood stretcher bars. Includes wall hanging hardware.

Surreal portrait of a girl and the city. A friend of mine, who made amateur movies asked me to draw some illustrations for his movie. Judith was an actress, and we became friends while shooting the film.

The picture has a few layers: one layer is the head of a woman (see her hair, her face, and her hands as she puts them over her face). Another layer is a Budapest scene behind her, with the Danube and two bridges. On a third layer in the forefront of the picture, you will find some strange organic buildings, structures.

Although I started to draw the picture years ago, it is still unfinished (like many of my works... :) and I am continuing to work on it today, so the picture is changing from time to time, print by print.

Mixed media, I drew the original picture with a technical pen (Rapidograph) on painted (acryl) cardboard, then I digitalized, modified, colourized with Wacom Cintiq digital pen and tablet.
