ABOUT THE ART
"For me sketching is all about capturing the moment and often moments are created while I am sketching - the everyday is elevated into an event. Drinking tea is all about creating a ceremony around a seemingly simple beverage especially when it is in a nice tea cup!
Sketching teacups is a lovely way for me to slow down and record a special event but it is also great training for when I hit the streets as an urban sketcher. I have to make decisions on the overall structure and shape of the cup and then the amount of detail choose to portray on my page."
