My love affair with dinnerware started at least 10 years ago when I began to collect odd plates from thrift stores. In 2006, I started my company The Broken Plate Pendant Co. to give this china new life as jewelry and housewares. Since then, I have lovingly broken thousands and thousands of plates and made countless wearables and objects from them.

This year, inspired by my crafty friends and fellow Charm City Craft Mafia members Danamarie Hosler of Mighty Pigeon and Annie Howe of Bmore Papercuts, who each have created lovely alphabets, I set off to create an alphabet made from china.

Each letter is cut from china and mounted on another salvaged plate. All of the base plates are available to be broken for custom orders (except the roach plate because I just can't bear to break it.)
