ABOUT THE ART
Original is ±10” x 11” (25 x 28 cm) acrylic on bisque fired clay: Done for the FCMOA "Masks" project.
A mask's anonymity provokes curiosity. Who is hidden behind the mask? And what's behind the face behind the mask? Many things, of course; possibly including someone seeking a balance of controlled passion (desire, direction, motivation, courage, etc.), and peace (contemplation, serenity, acceptance, etc.): Two keys to finding meaning in life. (A little sense of humor doesn't hurt either.) It's all in your head.
