Our ancient ancestors immortalized the life-supporting creatures of our oceans in their art. May we do the same and never take our Oceans for granted.
Why a blue ringed octopus? As an aussie kid who grew up between the lakes and the ocean, we were taught about the dangerous creatures we may encounter. It was when I was about 12 and snorkeling by myself in the channel when I looked down through my goggles and saw a little octopus gently roll over my foot. It was a Blue Ringed Octopus that thankfully did not take me for anything more than a motionless observer.
