ABOUT THE ART
Gosh the first time I saw a protea out in the world I was shocked SHOCKED that it was growing on a tree-bush thing. I don't know how I thought it grew but I stopped, took a picture and told the whole world via social media. South Africans know this - proteas originate from there and are also known as "Sugarbush". They are huge and prehistoric-looking and actually do belong to an ancient set of plants that Tyrannosaurus Rex may have also enjoyed. | www.barbraignatiev.com
