Tlingit lore tells the story of Raven the Trickster stealing from a great chief . Many Alaska Native tribes have variations of this story. This image is my vision of Raven, releasing the waters from his beak onto the earth.

Thank you, they illustrate on of my favorite Alaskan childhood stories. The black & white ones are a set of images based on traditional Tlingit design with my personal modern translation. TThese images tell the Tlingit story of Creation, Raven the trickster saved his people from a cruel miser of a Chief by stealing the Chief's hoarded treasures: the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, the Water.
