ABOUT THE ART

This is from a shot that I took outside of a rest stop restroom on the edge of the Salt Flats before the sun had risen and facing the Salt Flats near Wendover but not quite having left Utah as we were headed into Nevada this past mid to later December. I remember thinking how naturally daunting it looked combined with the weird glow from the restroom lights, and that beside myself and my family there was literally no one else around for miles. Being the picture was a bit spotty I mirrored it and removed the stuff I did not light while making it feel a touch more like a painting.
