ABOUT THE ART

Set Sail - 001

This is number 001 out of the 059 variations from my SET SAIL series in 2013. If it isn't exactly what you're looking for but close let me know as there are many variants and who knows one of them might be exactly what your heart desires. Also if there is one of the hundred that has not been sold/issued and you want it to truly be yours and unique we can make out arrangements to retire that version. I do charge a premium for that as I would no longer be able to profit from that piece.

Also if there is one of the fifty-nine that has not been sold/issued and you want it to truly be yours and unique we can make out arrangements to retire that version. I do charge a premium for that as I would no longer be able to profit from that piece.

Very nicely done watercolor/digital art composition of the schooner sailing on the rocky seas with the orange sun behind it's sail's, excellent details/shading/colors, great for the products, keep right on creating :)
Lazy Bones Studios commented on December 20, 2014 1:33pm
Thank you so very much Cherie DeBevoise, your words but nourishment to my soul. I used to have a loved one tell me often that I was not an artist. I would smile and say that's OK, I'm enjoying the time spent creating and it isn't hurting anyone. After Kaleid Art Gallery reached out to me and asked if I would be a monthly guest at their gallery I found myself honored as well as humbled. I insisted on meeting with the curator be for committing, to make sure they knew what my works were as to note embarrassing them or myself. So the curator did meet with me and I asked him if he knew or had seen my works as I did not want to embarrass him for having invited me. He told me that he had been following my work for years and it absolutely needed to been seen and shared with others. So I agreed and even better I was never told that I was not an artist again.

So once again I thank you, as you are no doubt aware many will click the promote heart, but few will take the time and little effort to comment even a single word. ;-)

Alpine Seaside Landscapes commented on February 7, 2015 6:36pm
Nice! I used to draw nothing but sailing ships when I was a little kid. I still have many of the drawings. Then one day I drew two shipwrecks at a desert island and that was it! (1969)
Lazy Bones Studios commented on February 9, 2015 12:43am
Thank you my friends 9CrismanArt & Alpine Seaside Landscapes) :-)

Your drawing ships sounds like my OCD it changes course or lanes so to speak. For years I did long division in my head on the way to work every day always by nines. Hoh many 9 second intravolts ti the next hill, 9 tenths of miles, etc. Then one day my dad died and I never did the 9's again. It changed. Then it became art. I put up over 10,000 pieces in my first year at deviaantArt, then it changed, always in excess, always over the top, always something............................... ;-)
