The words are by Tolkien: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._R._R.Tolkien from a song mentioned in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. There are various versions:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Road_Goes_Ever_On(song) of it. The image was taken at the Gog Magog Hills in Cambridge. It's a lovely quote and it talks (to me) of adventure and new beginnings, of excitement and things beckoning. It's also a good metaphor for life, because no matter how much we want to stay sometimes, life goes on, which sometimes is a good thing and sometimes not so good, but we don't get to choose.
