The tower represents our subjetive world, 'us', which relate with the others , 'them'. The tower is an entire psychological construct which is built by our thoughts, our values and beliefs, our attitudes, our ideals, etc. influenced by the others' interpretation. Tower has two parts, one of them is organic (the lower part ), and other artificial (the upper part).

The tower, built over our experience, helps us to assess and interpret to others, that are down. It is curious, because those below can also turn influence, even being very small, making more flexible the tower. The idea that the tower in turn is "constructed by others" is interesting. The relationship is bidirectional. 'Us and them', is 'Us with them'

Beautiful drawing, Óscar! And I love the description too.
The image itself reminds me of this great article I read recently:

thanks J.Webster for your comment !! Heather, it is awesome that a guy dedicate his phD trying to get trees with square section (it is true or a joke). I have had an important contribution for this description (thanks Concha ;-) ) , it is a very interesting psychological view for this drawing. Thank you very much for your comment !

It's true, the sad thing is that he didn't get funding/traction so it's no longer a project....

I absolutely love this! I also have to admit that you were one step ahead of me on this...
I am about to post for US & THEM, a piece based on our believes and thoughts! It looks completely different, thank god! Best of luck, Óscar!

this is very interesting, we got similar concepts but we executed in different ways. It is great!! This project remind me when I was in the college and everybody worked with the same concept but with different points of view. Sometimes, when you connected with someone, it was a moment of joy. Best of luck !

I have always loved that "game". It's very interesting to see how people perceive something!

Such depth of thought...and great visual to go with it.
The roots are so entwined making paths that run into each other as well anchoring deep.

...though now we see, through a glass longer speaking as a child --- I don't know, it reminds of a bit of that scripture in 1Corinthians. :))

Really nice, Oscar.
