The third illustration from my “Tokyo Storefronts” watercolour series is done! This one is somewhat special because I already painted this building once before about 3 year ago. It is an old hair salon located really close to the place I lived when I first moved to Tokyo. It’s 60’ retro style caught my eye from the moment I saw it. There are a LOT of hair salons in Japan and many of them are quite old and gained quite a character over the years. Technical stuff: \- Medium: HOLBEIN Waterford white 300g/m cotton paper \- Lines: COPIC Multiliner SP 0.7mm \- Colours: My watercolours set explained HERE, golden acrylics This is a scan of a painting, so there can be some paper texture and other marks of the analogue process visible, but I tried to make it as clean as possible. ghibli, miyazaki, yohokama, winter, japan, series, mateusz, urbanowicz, hand-painted, watercolours, watercolor, illustration, pencil, city, train, tram, dog, character, original
