ABOUT THE ART
The British brand of motorcycles Triumph is one of the most traditional in the world. The company, which celebrated its centenary in 2002, has operations in 12 other countries - the United States, England, Australia, Italy, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, France, Belgium, Holland and Japan - and sells around 36,000 units per year. Despite having celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2002, the Triumph is older. The brand was born in the last decade of the nineteenth century, after the German Siegfried Bettmann trip to England. The businessman, who previously marketed sewing machines, was impressed with increasing fleet of bicycles in the country and decided to enter the new business. Bettmann gave the name to Triumph, being an easily assimilated name throughout Europe. The first motorcycle rolled off the assembly line in Coventry (England), in 1902
