Ruled by Aquarius, The Star embodies the essence of the night sky's glimmering beauty. The light from distant stars reaches to us and provides a sense of hope. For things to come and potential to arise. This may take the form of healing, or even an unexpected sign of hope in which the universe provides. It also speaks of the things to come much later on in one's journey. It is all about going the distance as like the sign Aquarius, the card's vision is for tomorrow. An oasis in the distance.
The woman is depicted pouring to vessels of water. One to nourish the earth through the flowing waters of fertility. The other pouring onto the land and dividing into five channels, indicative of the senses. This also plays out as the woman has one foot on land and the other in water, representing grounded sense of being and intuition respectively.
In the sky above, shines one large eight pointed star and seven smaller stars that are associated with your chakras. Being the 17th card, it's base numerology also adds up to 8, which is associated with Strength & infinite for one's being. This can also be seen in the eight points of the stars. The bird seen is perched in the tree of the mind. Commonly the bird is an Ibis, relative to the Egyptian god Thoth & that of Thought itself. Here I have chose an owl, for it is also a bird associated with knowing & the mind.
