Rachel Bostick is an illustrator based in Austin, Texas. She graduated with a BFA in Communication Design in 2018 and will begin pursuing her MA in Children's Book Illustration at Anglia Ruskin University in Fall 2021. Her work takes inspiration from a fascination with fantastical folklore, haunting historical tales, and old-world beauty to convey concepts and narratives that are at once both dark and atmospheric, and whimsical and romantic. She often incorporates hand-lettering and custom typography in her illustrations, and enjoys creating work for a variety of applications including book covers and interiors, graphic novels, picture books, zines, posters, merchandise, etc.
