Ros Fiol

I started drawing well before I even said my first word. I grew up in a very art-centered, visual lifestyle, surrounded by many forms of inspiration, whether it be from family members, things I saw on TV, or the video games I continue to cherish today. As for the stuff here, I want the pictures to speak for themselves. I don’t like the concept of muddling art with intricate symbolism or complicated messages. That doesn't mean everything I do is completely without purpose--but for me, strong conceptual design needs to be supported by a strong visual design. More than anything, I want to make artwork that is fun to look at. I want what I create to keep people’s eyes engaged, observing every corner, tracing every line, and discovering something new with every returning glance.Through art, I try to translate what fascinates me into a new form of inspiration for whoever may see my work. I want to help people to understand why something attracts my eye, and hopefully inspire a new appreciation for everyday life in the process. If my art can make someone stop and admire something they would normally walk past, then my job is done. Ros Fiol joined Society6 on June 5, 2014
