Fearillustration

For as long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed drawing and putting images together to create my own interception of sequences. In my twenties, I was introduced to Terry Pegg, my mentor who taught me the values of art and in-depth techniques in which I continue to use today. Whilst working as a children’s book illustrator, I kept my work very bright and busy. I wanted the viewer to spot something they hadn’t seen before on a page. I like chaos, and I especially enjoy creating it! I want my illustrations to challenge your preconceptions, expand your mind and evoke feelings of wonderful adventure where anything is possible. In my career, I have been told that my work is quirky and highly detailed. I like to work in watercolours, a dip pen and inks. Over the past couple of years, I’ve experimented with digital colouring for a more clean and vibrant look. As mentioned, I enjoy chaos and complexity. This is also my inspiration whether it be a messy room, a crowded train station or a pile of old books! Thank you for reading! Fearillustration joined Society6 on September 5, 2013
