SeeEss is all about design. Working in a variety of design fields, including drawing, collage, photography, film, installation, fashion, landscape, food and architecture, SeeEss aims to softly shape the world in which we live through smart, conceptual design.
SeeEss founder, Colin Sieburgh, has a background in design that began as a student at Cornell University’s School of Architecture, Art and Planning. In an intense studio-based 5-year program, Sieburgh was able to develop his design skills through strong conceptually-based projects and explorations. While academically, his major was in architecture, Sieburgh's love of fashion design, drawing and film became integral in his life. Using influences from architecture, film, art, etc, his explorations in design have ever since been effected by all of the arts.
Continuing his design studies at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, Sieburgh honed his conceptual groundings while expanding his studies through the disciplines of landscape architecture, urban design and film as well as architecture. Again, art was still an integral part of his life, but was developed through official publications, exhibitions and independent research. The creative client base Sieburgh works with has enabled him to explore new forms and concepts, while still fulfilling the projects' needs and desires.
Travel is a huge part of Sieburgh's life, but he has recently settled by the beaches of Venice, CA. The first 3 years of Sieburgh’s Los Angeles life were enriched by working with the renowned firm, Predock_Frane Architects. Sieburgh has since launched his own design initiative, SeeEss, in 2010, and is currently a studio and drawing instructor at USC's Schools of Architecture and Theater in Los Angeles.
