Shar is here.

"Shar is here" is not about ego. It's about understanding we are all valuable and needed. Patiently letting the lines, dots and squiggles fall exactly where they 're meant to be. They all have a place. No matter where we are in life, we're still here, we still exist, and the world will always have a need for what we have to offer. The reason for "Shar is here" is to express and practice the idea of "now". Not in a bratty kid kind of way, but to simply acknowledge how blessed we are to be here. Grasping the idea in that very second, and embracing the moments as we're in them. Rather than constantly trying to fast forward our lives to the good parts. The goal is learning to enjoy every single dot, line, and squiggle, that makes up our bigger, beautiful picture. Shar brings this vision together through creating freehand, intricate, prismacolor and acrylic painted patterns in all of her artwork. Which embodies and represents the idea of "milking the moments" one dot or line at a time. Also combining illustration, typography, her colorful sense of humor, and encouraging witty messages. The process of creating and allowing the patterns to design themselves, has become a personal practice. A practice and lesson in learning patience, trusting your intuition, and slowing things down long enough to appreciate where ever we currently are in life. Shar's work has been featured in group exhibitions, as well as just recently murals located in Harlem, NYC. Shar is here. joined Society6 on November 17, 2013
