As the blog I used to put up process photos on is now largely defunct, I thought I'd upload them here. This is the illustration for story #13 of my storyblog project, "Losing My Shoes in Venice." I mainly find it interesting because after years of claiming that I never roughed stuff in, I did notice myself following a logical process to get this more or less to where I wanted it to be.
After the composition is pretty well set up, I try to rough in the details. . . problem being that I hate working with pencil.
BRUSH AND INK! So much fun.
Erasing all the pencil lines is the most satisfying thing ever.
