Shhhh…the secret is out. Disney Tron wall graphics are coming to Blik in early December. Stay tuned for more details.
Step Inside Anthony Clarkson's Grim Wonderland
Have you heard? Anthony Clarkson is the latest addition to Blik’s roster of fine artists. If you’re not familiar with Anthony, his art can best be described as stepping through a portal into the dark side of childhood where innocence is mixed with troubled spirits, broken hearts, and a sense of emptiness. How’s that for a visual?
Anthony’s graphic for Blik, “All Sewn Up” is $65 and depicts a fairy-like robot seamstress towering over a little girl clutching a broken heart surrounded by oversized spools of thread, pins, and buttons. To learn more about Anthony and check out his work, visit

Anthony is currently preparing for his upcoming show, “A Time to Forget” at ThinkSpace Gallery in Culver City that opens February 2011. Make sure to check out if you will be in LA.

Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with Upper Playground
To kick off the celebration of Dia de los Muertos, Upper Playground and Blik are excited to introduce 2 new graphics from Edgar ‘Saner’ Flores and Wendell McShine. “Son istmeño” by Saner and “The Watcher” by McShine exemplify their shared passion for art that embraces the traditions and folklore that are representative of the Latin world.

Saner’s surreal street art stems from every day life and Latin American stories. His work contains magical figures that are intertwined with Mexican traditions, folklore, and surrealism. Wendell McShine, a Trinidadian currently living in Mexico City, is influenced by island aesthetics and incorporates items like old bottle caps, skulls, plantation houses, coconut trees, sandals, flowers, and carnival costumes into his artwork. And by utilizing crude typography, colors and textures, his artwork always maintains an organic and relevant feel.

These graphics are the perfect way to bring some Latin flavor to your walls without having to leave your house.

New Herbert Baglione by Upper Playground
Upper Playground is no stranger to Blik with their already extensive line of wall graphics available online. That’s why we’re pleased to announce three more additions that are South American inspired contemporary art pieces by Herbert Baglione.

Enjoy the simple beauty of “Hands to Sky,” where a seated man with a branch-like shape emanating from his back raises his palms as if in supplication or offering. Or take pleasure in the two uncanny characters of “Mulher Skull,” who have a melancholy and somber essence that is intriguing and mysterious. In the third graphic “Navigating by the Stars,” a dark figure emerges from the mouth of a majestic fish to form a circular composition.

These bold graphics are the perfect way to bring a piece of South America into your home.

Recently, Image Interiors featured Blik in their September/October 2010 issue. The magazine highlighted Blaine Fontana's Fernwood Mirror in the "Wonder Walls" decorating ideas section. They suggest making a statement in a room with this graphic by placing a mirror or picture in the center to transform empty wall space.

Blik can also be found in the September 2010 issue of Family Circle in the Cool for School section. They recommend using Mina Javid's Nico Headboard to make back to school decorating a trendy and simple experience. We couldn't agree more!
