With millions of products on Society6, it can sometimes feel like a challenge to find exactly what you're looking for. I have personally spent many hours deep inside a Society6 rabbit hole looking for the perfect throw pillow; but instead found 8 new art prints, 3 rugs and 5 clocks that I absolutely, definitely need. So I've put together a handy guide to help you dive into the Society6 universe to find the coolest new art, artists and products to curate your life with. For all of you OG Society6'ers consider this your refresher course, and if you've got some cool shopping tips or members you think are worth a follow, throw them in the comments below and share the love!

Become a Member

Setting up an account and becoming a member on Society6 is the best way to discover the best art and artists on our site. Why? Because you can do cool things like create collections, follow artists and promote art to keep track of all of the things you love. Also being a member is like being apart of a super cool club where we all hold hands and trust fall with one another, doesn't that sound nice?

Start a Collection

Collections are like mood boards, you can use them to organize different products together under a specific theme. Got a wishlist of things you want for your dream apartment? Make a collection and share it (hopefully your friends and fam will take the hint!) Or maybe you're inspired by a certain color, or pattern, or maybe you just want to keep track of cool art in an organized way. They're super easy to make, all you have to do is go to "My Collections" in your account dropdown and start a new one, or you can click "Add to Collection" on any product page. Check out these S6 collections to get started.

Pro tip: Product filter: you can use the drop down to organize by product type so you can see what your faves will look like of 30 different products. Pretty neat!

Follow People/My Society

Being a follower is typically not very punk, but in this case, it's the best way to keep in touch with your favorite members and artists to see who they're following and what they're promoting. New stuff that artists post will then get aggregated in your "My Society" feed, where you can endlessly scroll through your favorite artwork. Following is easy, just click on an artist or members name and hit the follow button below their profile pic.

There is something pretty satisfying about hitting the heart button on a piece of artwork or product, whenever you do that it shows up under your Promoted Art feed which is basically like a mega collection of all the things you like. You can also sort that one by product too, so say you want to see what everything might look like as a throw pillow, just select the drop down and choose throw pillow and voila!

Search Hacks

If you're looking for something specific, use quotations around it to get a more accurate result. You can also filter by "new" or "popular" items, or if you know exactly what you're looking for you can narrow it down to a type of design or color.

Great tips! Although it can seem like the same few get promoted over, and over. I wish you all would promote new art, and not the same people.
