Is it just me or has it felt more like fall lately? I've been anticipating a chill in the air even though in LA the only thing that lets you know that time is passing is the changing of Starbucks latte flavors. Either way, I'm ready to indulge my autumn musings by nerding out on some fall style inspiration. We asked interiors expert Gabrielle Savoie of Savvy Home to give us an insider's look at Fall 2016 decor trends and ooh la la, I'm in love!
If I could pick one place that embodies many of the trends I'm seeing for fall, it's the reopening of the iconic Paris hotel and nightclub, Les Bains. The rooms are a little gritty in appearance, but elegant and polished at the same time: rusty velvet sofas are mixed with crisp ice blue and white linens. The walls are textured with pitch black perforated metal accents. It's a little bit rock'n'roll, a little bit vintage but very contemporary all at once. In terms of colors, I'm seeing many warm shades: from blush pink to rusty oranges to bright reds. Brown is making a solid comeback. For textures, I'm seeing a lot of velvet, satin, fur, and black metals. Many interior designers predicted an eclectic mix of decades, and from what I'm seeing, I tend to agree.
