The Bjorky project is based on capturing the underlying emotions of being human. On the surface the images assume a basic forms, smooth, composed, normal. however, there is a complicated storm of emotions boiling from within. The occupied mind is still fueled by perceptions from the outside world. Opinions, teachings, advertising and other stimuli constantly bombarding our consciousness and deriving a non stop musical in our heads. The human soul was not intended for the deluge of information brought forth by the present day world. Or perhaps this stimulated world we have fabricated is no different than the wild jungle. Our well being is still a primitive one; struggling to survive in this jungle of consumer illusions and forced ideals.
Bjorky’s images, concepts and stories try to capture this carnival of noise, sadness, happiness, anger. Works are presented in similar forms as traditional advertising such as sign making, photography and animation, a story unfolds to try to make sense of the chaos of the surrounding world. A near vulgar approach to form, renouncing beauty in the traditional sense to make a statement that the traditional aesthetic beauty is a fabricated illusion.
