My name is Emily Lord and I'm a Mainer living in the Midwest. I love fresh garlic, extra sharp cheddar cheese, and the woods in winter. I have a B.A. in Women's Studies and Sociology, and an M.S. in Sociology.

I like to think of myself as a photographer, an academic, and an adventurer. My photography represents my deep interest and commitment to the natural world and everyday life. I believe that sublime beauty can be found in simple, familiar places, not just in the grandeur of far away mountains and valleys (although I do love those far away majesties).
