About Tina Carroll

I'm an artist residing in the United States and have created and sold my abstract art for over 20 years now. I use many different mediums including acrylic, ink, charcoal, oil pastels, watercolors, mixed digital methods, and oilsticks. I adore and am influenced by Lee Krasner, Joan Mitchell, Helen Frankenthaler, Willem de Kooning, graffiti artists, Japanese ukiyo-e prints, Wayne Thiebaud, the Pacific Northwest, and Vincent van Gogh.

I have taken university level art courses in drawing and painting and received my B.A. in Art History in 1998 from The Evergreen State College. After college I participated in art history graduate programs at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as well as the University of Memphis. However, despite my education, I still love to create what I responded to as a child - images with vivid colors and funky shapes. My most recent pieces have focused on two key elements: highly saturated colors and movement.

I currently have work in private collections in the United States, Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Finland, Germany, Russia, Australia, the Netherlands, and Japan.
