Tommy LaBaff

Tom LaBaff earned a BFA in illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design in sunny Sarasota, Florida. This launched him directly into the wonderful wild world of Walt Disney Feature Animation where he worked for the following 10 years. Early credits include films such as The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast. Tom eventually moved into the story depart- ment where he contributed to more feature films such as Home on the Range and Brother Bear for Disney. Recently he's earned credit on Blue Sky's Rio, Ice Age 4, and the soon to be released film by Chris Wedge, EPIC! Print illustration is one of Tom's passions. Currently he has work in national magazines such as The Weekly Standard, The Wall Street Journal, Runners World, Field and Stream, School Library Journal, ED Harvard Magazine and Mac World to name a few. Another big part of what keeps him at the drawing table is book illustration for companies like Scholastic, Harcourt Brace and other U.S. publishers.
