My path has been filled with art since I was a very young child. Embroidery, sewing, macrame, collage, painting, beadwork, stained glass, paper arts...and the constant through it all is drawing. For me, drawing is the most difficult, demanding, rewarding and addictive habit I've ever encountered. It has remained at the center of my art life since the beginning and I am still in awe of its' power. I love to see other artist's work. I feel such joy looking at their ideas coming into expression! I often feel amazed and intimidated and inspired all in a nano second looking at the wonderful artwork of others. But my biggest inspiration comes from the shapes and colors of nature. I see the planet as truly alive in every sense... the Earth itself moving within the incomparable beauty of living space, people, animals and our glorious plant life. What wonders are there each day. It blows my mind. Seeing things through an artist's eye doesn't blind me to the immense problems we have on our Earth right now. I feel the sorrows acutely. But I am deeply aware of the good changes at work, too. I do try to live one day at a time and feel grateful for the gifts I have been given. There is never enough time to fit it all in. I guess I thought that somehow art and business and family would collide together in one masterful epic flow and life would suddenly become easy. That's not the way it is for me and I doubt it is others. I have finally realized just living is a fine art in itself. I enjoy being an artist and I try to be kind to myself. I try not to judge what I do compared to the genius of others but that still happens anyway. I believe it takes all of us giving what we have to give that makes this world hum and sing. So, for another day I will try to do that and draw something I like. Love and light to you and thanks for reading. Troy VI Troy VI joined Society6 on December 6, 2014
