About The Artist

My name is Melanie and there is nothing I love more than fashion illustration. It took me a while, but a few years ago I finally found my own style and have stuck to it ever since. My main focus is fashion illustration and I draw the majority of my inspiration from fashion magazines and other fashion illustrators' work. While the basis of most of my work is my beloved HB pencil, I am constantly experimenting with and incorporating different media into my pieces - namely, markers, colored pencils, acrylic paint, watercolor, gold leaf, origami paper, scrapbook paper, stickers, washi tape, etc I work in a corporate setting so my art is my escape after a day at the office. It has always been and will always be my favorite thing to do.
