About The Artist

Welcome, I'm Kim Schwieters, the creator of Oju Design. My designs have a modern often minimalist focus, inspired by my love of nature, travel and adventure (definitely adventure). I love creating art and have a head filled with a million ideas. Growing up in New Zealand, I remember the feeling I got as an 8-year-old when I won first place in an art competition. A seed was planted that day and I’ve never looked back (I bought the sweetest red shoes with the prize money). I’ve been a maker ever since - jewelry, ceramics, screen prints and everything in between. I have exhibited in Australia and New Zealand. Based in Sydney, Australia there’s no better feeling than the one I get creating artworks that thousands of people around the world choose to hang in their homes.
