Wear your art on your sleeve!
We teamed up with Tattly, a Brooklyn-based temporary tattoo company, to turn our artists' illustrations into wearable art. Check out the exclusive designs from Lorien Stern, Matthew Taylor Wilson, Stephanie DeAngelis and Tasiania—then start thinking about where they'll look best on you.
All About Tattly
Tattly makes temporary tattoos designed by real artists. They got their start in 2011, when Tina Roth Eisenberg, aka Swissmiss, grew tired of putting poorly-designed temporary tattoos on her daughter's arm. Today they're a healthy small business based in Brooklyn, NY whose tattoos are sold in over 1,000 stores around the world. Each season they add new artists to their roster and they were proud to surpass $1 million paid out in artist royalties in 2017.
Matthew is an illustrator from Kentucky who loves coffee, board games and fluffy dogs.
Stephanie is a Los Angeles-based illustrator and graphic designer who loves noodle-based foods and her dog.
Tasiania is an illustrator based in Bali who loves skateboarding, nature and surfing.
Lorien is an illustrator and ceramicist based in the Mojave Desert who loves alien conspiracy theories and her three pet ducks.
The Art Quarterly No. 4.1 features 190 original works by the supremely talented Society6 artist community and for the Flipside (located on the literal flip side of the Art Quarterly) we collaborated with Tattly to bring you 20 pieces of original work inspired by the art of tattoo flash sheets. Plus, each book includes 20 Tattly temporary tattoos—giving you a truly unique chance to show off the art you love right on your body… temporarily.
