About the Artists
Maia Faddoul is an illustrator and designer who loves creating empowering, bright and colorful imagery, often with an important message. Her upbringing was heavily rooted in core intersectional feminist values, which has led her to collaborate with many non-profits, women’s and LGBTQ+ organizations in the hopes of using her talent and creativity to help bring more visibility and power to young women and misrepresented groups across the globe.
Sarah Maxwell is a comic artist and illustrator from Austin, Texas. Her work ranges from fashion illustration to animated GIFs and comics. She loves pastels, flowers and delicate things. The best way to describe her work is summed up in four key words: nostalgia, tenderness, femininity and 80s electronic music.
Laurence Philomene is a photographer, director and curator. Their work deals with questions of identity and selfhood as seen through a colourful queer + trans lens, blending documentary and fine art approaches. Laurence's work is informed by their lived experiences as a chronically ill transgender artist, coming of age amid the rise of internet culture and social media. Their work is rooted in care, both for their own community and for the greater public to gain an understanding of what it [can] mean to be a trans person living in America in the 21st century.
Loveis Wise is a freelance Illustrator originally from Washington D.C. and currently based in Los Angeles. In addition to being a Capricorn lady who is obsessed with the color pink, she’s worked with some amazing clients such as The New Yorker, Google, Instagram, The New York Times, REI, Refinery29, Wieden+Kennedy and more.
Kim Leutwyler is an artist who works in a variety of media including painting, installation, ceramics, printmedia and drawing. Leutwyler's current body of work features paintings exploring notions of beauty, gender and queer identity. Her artwork has been exhibited in multiple galleries and museums throughout Australia and the United States.
Lilla Bölecz is an illustrator who specializes in graphic art, book illustration and surface pattern design. Her passion is to create peculiar, thought-provoking, mystical scenes and characters. She considers artwork as a crucible of the spiritual and the material worlds. Her vision is mostly inspired by mysticism, nature, spiritual experiences, mythology and literature.
