About Vin Zzep: Transforming Passion into Art Welcome to my world of art! I'm Vin Zzep, a passionate graphic designer and artist dedicated to creating pieces that reflect the essence of my life and passions. My journey in the art world has been a thrilling adventure, marked by significant milestones and unforgettable experiences. In 2011, I had the privilege of hosting a one-person show featuring my paintings, which was a resounding success and led to numerous commissions. That same year, I ventured into the digital space, bringing my artwork to a global audience online. A landmark moment in my career came in 2016 when Google commissioned me to create ten large works for their new offices in Paris. This experience was transformative, teaching me the immense power of digital exposure and setting the stage for my full-time career in art. Embracing digital tools, I began crafting concept and surreal-based art using photography and advanced Photoshop techniques. 2017 was another exciting year when my piece "Brilliant Disguise" was featured on the hit show "Fixer Upper" by HSBC. This recognition was not only an honor but also a testament to the hard work and dedication I put into my craft. Behind every artist is a support system, and I am immensely grateful to my family and friends especially Catherine, Justine, Zaine, and my dog Buster for their unwavering support. They make the journey worthwhile and remind me that hard work and passion go hand in hand. My mission is simple: to create art that resonates with people and enhances their lives. I believe in the transformative power of art and its ability to bring joy and inspiration. So, I continue to create, share, rest, and repeat, driven by the love for what I do. Northern Edge Prints features a range of contemporary, natural wall art with an emphasis on the outdoors. I have been capturing my adventures in nature since I received my first SLR camera as a youth. Since then my love for both art and the outdoors has only grown in...literal...leaps and bounds. I love creating things out of my passions and sharing those creations with anyone who finds joy in them. Along with my passion for the outdoors, I have a deep desire to speak up for those who can't speak up for themselves. I have been blessed too much not to share that blessing with others. There were fashionable hand-painted dresses and hippie style. It was a time of crisis and everything was missing, it was difficult to get the material, so we bought factory leftovers and Chinese T-shirts, dyed them, sew, and I painted dresses. It was a very good business and my first professional experience. A few years later I visited Paris and lived there in the third district called Art et Métiers and was able to observe the work of small companies producing for the fashion industry. It was especially inspiring to see how the Parisian Chinese community works and lives. For me, who spent most of my life in a politically isolated country, it was very inspiring and exotic. I also visited branded fashion salons and watched with admiration mesmerizing fashion shows on big screens in shops and on French TV. The great star was then living Yves Saint Laurent. I also had the opportunity to meet people working in this industry: designers and models, but I never thought about working in this industry. Horses were my passion and I dreamed of ordinary life in the countryside. However, life unexpectedly showed me that these passions can be combined and that nothing is impossible. In fact, I made my dreams come true and I moved to the countryside. I worked on a horse farm and gained experience as a horse and dog breeder. As a hippotherapist, I helped people with disabilities to stand on their own feet. My love for animals was reciprocated. Horses and dogs have become my teachers. I paint pet portraits and still do it because it's my way to express my love and admiration for these fascinating animals. But I still didn't think about being a designer. one day I got an e-mail message asking if I would like to design a fashion. I was surprised and at the beginning, I didn't have a good idea... I have come a long way. I spent many nights learning graphics programs and fixing mistakes. But I started to design patterns and my first clients came. Today I can invite you to my shop and present my new designs collections. I use various techniques in my projects and I gladly go back to painting and drawing. I also like monochrome and graphic designs. It adds elegance. I like to experiment and mix different techniques. I love vintage art and collages. My favorite styles are Boho, Hippie, Maximalism, and Country styles in all their varieties. Nature inspires me: plants, small wild weeds, flowers, and everything that lives, that's why biophilia is close to my heart. Especially I like themes related to animals and wild nature. Lovers of horses, dogs, cats, birds, wild animals, and flowers will surely find something for themselves here.

I'm an ancient Asian art buff. An old man still looking towards the rising Sun. In my pieces I am reaching back to go forwards; my only wish: to indulge fully in the process of re-interpreting and remixing art... I am deeply inspired by the masters of Japanese Ukiyo-e painting, and aim with my pieces to convey a deeply evocative and somewhat reminiscent picture of a past both foreign and beautiful, where notions of time and enjoyment had very different connotations. For that I use both physical and digital mediums to reinterpret ancient pieces from old Japanese Masters of the art-form, some very well known and others anonymous and underground. Re-interpretating ancient art provides me with a freedom of expression that is not limited by genre or nomenclature, while remixing gives me a sense of connection to the past and the satisfaction of creation something new. The bulk of my work consists of investigating public domain ukiyo-e and then planning the piece before moving on to digital collage, drawing and painting on the final assemblage. Lastly I do post-treatment to bring out certain tones, and create a vintage mood. Seeing that my works are in essence derivative they are both loved and hated to equal proportions. Purists criticise and denounce my building on pre-existing pieces, more moderate and perhaps experimental folk identify with my perspective, and many art-lovers admire the resulting images.
