A lot of my inspiration comes from nature and right now I'm very focused on using a lot of flowers in my artwork. I'm a night owl, coffee-lover, and everyday adventurer. I am a freelance illustrator living in Portland, OR. I work in natural media like watercolor & pen and ink. I love to create work about food and the environment, and am a hobby naturalist. I love to create patterns, maps, and other illustrated educational materials, such as illustrated timelines, and illustrated recipes. I grew up in eastern Montana, but I studied art and art history at the University of Minnesota, as well as Florence, Italy, where I regularly hung out with THE David, and drew. I graduated from the University of Oregon in Eugene, where I received a bachelor of fine arts degree (in printmaking) in 2010. When not painting, some of my favorite things to do are: boulder, hang out with my sweet blind greyhound dog, and read (before I was an illustrator, I was a freelance arts journalist for years). As an artist, Evelyn's work finds a home in Define Art Gallery in Sarasota, Florida, and her pieces grace private collections across the United States, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, and the Netherlands. Her artistic endeavors have been recognized with residencies and fellowships from various institutions, including the National Parks "Arts in the Parks" program, Jentel Foundation, Dorland Mountain Arts Colony, and The Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts. Beyond the Sea

Olivia's love of nature and passion for photography are intertwined, resulting in happy landscapes and modern botanicals. Recently, she has expanded her creative pursuits to include watercolor/ acrylic painting, printmaking and collage. She has spent time at artist residencies in 2018-2020 where she learned new art forms and taught workshops. Inspiration comes from immersing herself in wild places and practicing mindfulness where she sees everyday objects in beautiful new ways. Her work has appeared in Anthropologie, Minted, Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom, Papyrus Cards, Target, on book covers and on walls of homes and businesses around the globe. My love and passion for art began with my fascination in the illustrations found in children's books, especially those from the fairy tales her parents would read her. The lush illustrations and detailed images left an impression on my mind, and to this day continue to influence my work. I use watercolor, ink and digital mediums to create whimsical illustrations that speak to the study of witchcraft in the modern age. These topics and studies have lead me to create work inspired by Tarot Decks and even mythology. I love to depict imagery and narrative work that touches on the every day magic that can be found in the simplest things.
