Doug Slack
Doug Slack is a freelance illustrator working out of his home studio (which is actually more basement than studio). His illustrations have regularly appeared in The Philadelphia Inquirer and Weird NJ magazine. The black and white cinematography of classic horror films- most notably the films of director James Whale- informs the monochromatic imagery of Doug’s watercolor portraits. The illustrations are decidedly unironic about their celebration of cult and populist culture. www.dougthings.tumblr.com
