Megan is a painter and textile artist bouncing between the Hudson Valley and Brooklyn, NY. Her work varies from minimalist fashion illustration to her love for various cats found in the wild with a focus on color theory.

Astër strives to retrieve the most beautiful images and offer them a second life. Our mission is to explore the immensity of the public domain images, select the gem among them and bring them to you in carefully curated and harmonized collections. While all the images are carefully re worked and modernized, we strive to respect their original beauty and character.

I am a freelance illustrator living in Portland, OR. I work in natural media like watercolor & pen and ink. I love to create work about food and the environment, and am a hobby naturalist. I love to create patterns, maps, and other illustrated educational materials, such as illustrated timelines, and illustrated recipes. I grew up in eastern Montana, but I studied art and art history at the University of Minnesota, as well as Florence, Italy, where I regularly hung out with THE David, and drew. I graduated from the University of Oregon in Eugene, where I received a bachelor of fine arts degree (in printmaking) in 2010. When not painting, some of my favorite things to do are: boulder, hang out with my sweet blind greyhound dog, and read (before I was an illustrator, I was a freelance arts journalist for years).
