Description

A solitary freediver glides through crystalline water in this monochromatic underwater photograph, captured from above as their body stretches diagonally across the frame with fins extended. The grayscale tones and diffused light create an ethereal, dreamlike quality that emphasizes the weightless grace of human movement beneath the surface. Bound with 52 pages of 70lb paper, lined or unlined, behind an anti-scuff matte cover with wraparound artwork, made to order. Notes and sketches kept behind an independent artist's work, not a plain composition cover.

About The Artist

Hi, my name is Enric and I'm the man behind 27MM, my underwater photography project. I was born on an island in the Mediterranean Sea and that's why my life has always been linked to the sea. But it's from 2009 when I begin to document the underwater landscapes, the marine life and also the relationship with the human being. Having my island as a base I begin to travel the world looking for new seas and oceans to tell a photographic history that pretends to be an iconography of my relationship with the sea. Capturing moments of my real experience with the sea, but taken to the non-representative. To get a clean and minimalist result, just leaving the essential elements to convey my feelings underwater.
