Description
Two sea turtles swim through a deep blue ocean rendered in traditional Aboriginal dot painting and crosshatching techniques, their bodies filled with intricate geometric patterns and their flippers rendered in solid black. The composition is framed by decorative borders of curved lines and circular motifs in black and white, while pale blue dots scatter across the background like water or stars, creating a sense of movement and spiritual depth. At home in a coastal space or a room celebrating Indigenous art traditions. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
