Description
Four snakes rendered in warm orange, brown, olive, and slate blue coil and intertwine across a cream ground in this naturalistic illustration study. Each serpent displays scaled texture and anatomical detail characteristic of 18th-century scientific observation, arranged in a vertical stack that creates rhythmic movement through color and form. At home in a naturalist's study or a cabinet of curiosities. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
