Description
Four sinuous snakes coil and intertwine across a soft cream ground in this natural history illustration, rendered in warm rust, dusty rose, warm gray, and deep teal. The methodical, hand-drawn linework and muted palette evoke the precision of 18th-century scientific documentation while the serpents' fluid curves create an almost hypnotic rhythm across the composition. At home in a naturalist's study, a collector's gallery, or any space drawn to vintage curiosity and specimen art. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
